Colorado Fusion Fab4 program is designed specifically for our 3 and 4 year olds. Geared towards improving fine and gross motor skills through the sport of soccer, Fab4 is our introductory program. Our goal is to have those that enter into our Fab4 program graduate to one of our U5 teams.
The Fab 4 program consists of six 45 minute training sessions during the fall and six during the spring. Players can participate in one of the seasons or both.
Throughout the program, players will be asked to participate in a variety of activities. In each activity, we will look to develop a player’s basic motor skills and introduce them to technical skills that are important in soccer i.e. dribbling, passing/kicking, and receiving, etc. Because players are unpredictable at this age, we ask that an adult is prepared to be actively involved with their child when needed. Involvement may be high at times and at other times adults will be less involved. It is important that you are there for your child if and when you are needed. As the lead instructor, I will explain the activity and what assistance I may need from you.
In the event your child does not want to participate at any time, it is important that they are not FORCED into things, rather, they are guided. If players are FORCED, then it will become a traumatic experience for them and they will not have a fun experience. Players will participate when they are ready. If they are not involved, just have them sit off to the side until they are ready.
All field equipment will be provided by the club. This includes soccer balls. Your child is welcome to bring thier own ball, but we will use a "nuetral" ball when playing any activity where sharing of the ball is required. Please bring a water bottle and ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Shin-guards and cleats are allowed, but not required. Obviously, dresses, jeans, open shoed footwear, etc., are not appropriate for training.
Sincerely,
Melissa Russell
