The Academy Competitive Program is an opportunity to play with other highly motivated players who want to work with experienced coaches to improve their skills. In addition to developing your passion for soccer and to gain a better understanding of the world’s most popular game, you get to compete and measure your progress in state leagues and tournaments. - Competitive teams generally consist of fourteen to eighteen players. They practice two to three times a week and have games on Saturdays. Most of our competitive teams train at the Lowry Sports Complex and play their home games at Aurora Sports Park. Aurora based competitive teams train at Olympic Park. Our teams compete in Premier, Classic and Challenge level leagues organized by Colorado Youth Soccer. Most of our away games take place in Metro Denver; however, teams may travel as far as Pueblo, Fort Collins and Grand Junction for league games.
- We focus on the technical development of our players and help them develop confidence with the ball and team play through challenging training sessions. The development of each player is of paramount importance. Games are treated as a continuation of the development process rather than the sole barometer of success. Games are used to help our players demonstrate what they have learned . We also work with our players who are ready to compete at a nationally competitive level.
- Teams are formed each May or June at our player placement event where players are evaluated and placed on competitive teams. Players may join teams during the year based on their ability and available space on teams. The fall season lasts from late July to early November. The spring season lasts from early February to late May. We expect all teams to take breaks in winter and summer. Individual training is available during those times through our FIT program.
